Join us in shaping the future of sustainable energy. Hinkley Point C (HPC) is a pivotal nuclear power project designed to provide low-carbon electricity to millions of homes. We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our dedicated team and play a crucial role in ensuring the project's success through effective risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Establish and maintain comprehensive risk registers for the HPC programme.
· Ensure all potential risks are identified, documented, and monitored throughout the project lifecycle.
· Identify, develop, and implement risk mitigation and action plans.
· Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective execution of mitigation strategies.
· Contribute to the development and maintenance of the overall Risk Management Strategy and Plan.
· Ensure alignment with project objectives and industry best practices.
· Perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis on the Integrated Works Schedule.
· Advise Programme Directors on key risk areas to enable proactive mitigative actions.
· Lead workshops with large groups of Project Managers to capture and assess risks comprehensively.
· Foster a collaborative environment to ensure thorough risk identification.
· Work closely with other Risk Managers across different programmes to avoid risk duplication.
· Ensure a cohesive approach to risk management across all project areas.
Preferred profile:
· Proven experience as a Risk Manager, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
· Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
· Proficiency in using data analysis tools (such as Monte-Carlo) for risk assessment and management.
· Experience in conducting both qualitative and quantitative risk analysis.
· Excellent organizational and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead workshops and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in risk management.
